This post is a LONG time coming (think months). And I am not going to lie that as I write this I am feeling a huge jumble of feelings.
Excited. Nervous. Embarrassed (that it has taken me this long to get this done).
Proud. So there you go.
This summer I came up with a new design. I LOVE Colorado and I LOVE photography. So why not combine those two passions and make a unique design? So I sat down and this logo flowed and it was done (start to finish) in an evening. And I am so happy with it! Usually the design process takes hours and hours and hours. So it was one of those flukes that was so exciting.
Then I decided I wanted a shirt with this cool design. So I set out to make myself a shirt. And I found that it is really hard to make ONE shirt.
So I figured that if I like the design, others might like it as well.
So I decided to take a chance and start something new.
I hooked up with a friend who I knew through the kids' old preschool and she ordered samples for me and walked me through the whole process.
We did a limited run of the design and made a variety of shirts. My old qualifications were that it had to be soft and fit well.
So all of these shirts are SUPER soft and most of them are ladies cut, meaning they have more shape to them.
These shirts have been sitting in a box in my garage for 2 months (here is the embarrassing part). I am not sure what has been holding me back. Well......it has been my busy season and I was trying to take care of my clients first so it was always put to the back burner. Then there was the fear....will anyone like these? Will they pay what I am asking?? What if I don't recover the cost?? How do I sell them?? So there they have sat.
Now I have no more excuses. And I am so excited to show these to you!
I am also excited to be partnering with A Tattered Tag. My best-good friend Vicki runs A Tattered Tag and she is one of the most creative ladies I have ever met (and she has the BEST taste in everything). So you can visit www.atatteredtag.com and see all of my shirts and see all of her cute signs and growth charts. She also has an etsy store and you can click here to visit the etsy store. You should visit now while there is FREE SHIPPING!!!! These make the perfect gift for your Colorado fanatic, or photography fanatic....or Colorado Photography fanatic.
So without further ado......here are my shirts. Thanks to my neice Ashlynn and her friends for modeling these for me!
Just for reference, the girls are all wearing size small (except the white, it is a medium).
The Red Raglan. Because I love raglan shirts. This is the one unisex product I have. Because they don't have this color of shirt with this design in ladies cut.
But out of all of the shirts...this is the one I wear the most often. It is so comfy and cute.
The white long sleeved. So clean and classic. Remember that this is a ladies cut and they tend to run a little smaller so order a size up!
I normally wear a medium shirt and I have to wear a large in the ladies cut.
The short sleeved. This one is the softest out of all of the shirts! It is so comfy and a perfect layering shirt.
It is nice and long and doesn't show off your belly (not that any of you have a belly).
The jacket. This is a lightweight t-shirt weight zip up hoodie. I love this one. It is perfect for Colorado fall or spring (or this weekend where is supposed to be 70 degrees). It is a great layering weight and is the same material as the t-shirt so it is SUPER soft. And I am a total sucker for a hood. What more could you ask for!
And the onesie. Thanks to my friend Stacy for letting me borrow her super cute baby girl for these pictures!! It is sized 3-6 months. It is very high quality and nice and soft. Not just a cheap onesie.
I have been wearing these shirts for two months. They wash really well. I did hot water and high heat to make sure they would stand up to it....and they did.
The white one shrunk a TINY bit, but the others were perfect. And they stayed nice and soft!
And one more purely Colorado gift. A sticker. Perfect for your water bottle, laptop, car top carrier or anywhere!
Aren't these cute? They make the perfect stocking stuffer!
And since I was doing product photography....I thought I would take some pictures of some of the cool things Vicki has in her shop. Pillows!! Signs!! Growth Charts!!
And all of the background in the pictures of the shirts is the Rustic Colorado Flags that Vicki is famous for. I have one in my house and it is my FAVORITE!
So what do you think??? Do you need a gift for your favorite Coloradan?? Do you like the design? Want to see more shirts? Hats? Let me know what you think!
Thanks for hanging in there to the end of this blog. And remember, right now.....most everything has FREE SHIPPING!!!
