The Brady Family

This bunch (I am sure that this is the first time they have ever heard that pun) was so fun to work with!

I was a little skeptical about the weather for this session.  It was predicted to have a 70% chance of rain....which is a pretty high chance for Colorado.  I wanted to call it early because I thought there was NO way we were going to be able to take pictures.  But, Cathleen said it looked like it was clearing up.  We got to our location and it was pouring with clouds all around.  We decided to wait it out for 10 minutes and then call it.  I thought there was no way!  After 10 minutes.....the rain stopped and we were able to get the entire session in.  I am so glad!  The lighting was a bit gray, but we could shoot in all sorts of places I never get to because of spotty sunlight (Love the bridge that is usually too sunny)!
This session had two things that I LOVE.  1.  Older kids.  They make for a quicker and easier session that I don't have to run all over making monkey faces and praying that I got at least one picture where everyone is looking.  2.  Bigger families.  I love how many different combinations we were able to do and how 4 kids just balances out the picture so beautifully.
They were also so mellow and comfortable with each other.  There was an ease about our time together that was very refreshing.  It was the end of a long weekend of photo shoots for me and it was such a wonderful way to end!
I may, or may not have, had to edit out a photo bomb from one of these pictures.
I hope that the ease and love of this family shines through the pictures!
Why did you guys have to stop having kids?  You only need 2 more to make it a full bunch (sorry, couldn't resist again).  Your family is full of such love that it is overflowing!  Keep up the good work.

The Ellerbroek Family

Every year I donate a session to the Bradford Elementary school auction.  My sister works there and my niece and nephews go there, so I love supporting the local school and all of the great things they are doing up there in Ken Caryl Valley!  Last year the Ellerbroek family won and now they are cashing in their winnings!

I was so glad to meet them and get to hang out with them up in their neighborhood.  The Ken Caryl Valley is one of the most beautiful places on earth!  Every time I am up there, I see at least 1-2 deer or some other kind of wild animal.  It is such a quiet and beautiful community so I love to take pictures up there as well.  The fall colors did not disappoint and we went all over the valley searching for the perfect spots!
Enjoy this sweet little family.
I love how they were together.  They are like a little team and I loved watching them hang out together.  Of course Reece didn't really want to be there for pictures (what 12 year old boy does), but once they grabbed the dog for some pictures he came out of his shell and gave me some great smiles!
There is nothing like a boy and his dog.
Of course we had to sneak in a few lovebird pictures too.
As the mother of boys, I am a sucker for a good mother/son picture.
And this one of Jim and Reece together.....makes me smile.
Congratulations on winning the auction and thanks for supporting Bradford Elementary!

The Kliewer Family

Oh how I love this family!  They are some of the best people I have ever met.  Miriam has been my mentor/friend/sister/mother/leader........etc.  She is one of the most amazing women you will ever have the privilege of knowing.  She is whole-heartedly devoted to God, her family, homeschooling, church and the list goes on.  If I ever need prayer or godly wisdom, she is who I call.  So you can see that when I learned that they would be moving this last summer, I was pretty sad.  Thank goodness for phones, texting and Facebook!

I was so excited when Miriam told me that they would home for fall break and wanted some family pictures taken.  I can't believe how much the kids have grown and matured in just a few short months....especially Josh!  Aren't they all just SO good-looking?
I loved spending the morning catching up with this family and we sure had some beautiful leaves and amazing lighting for our session.  I love that the kids are older and are super cooperative and easy to pose, which means we got to do a ton of different shots.
And check out these two lovebirds.....
Big families are the best.  These sibling pictures are some of my favorite to date!
I'll say it again.  If you haven't had pictures done of your growing teenagers....GET IT DONE!  They grow up so fast and will be out of the house before you know it.  Seriously Kliewers....these pictures make my heart sing and make me miss you guys all over again!  Come home again soon!

The Kuiphoff Family- Littleton Family Photography

This sweet family and I have a lot of mutual friends but we haven't ever met!  I did some Facebook stalking and found that we have 25 mutual friends.  That is a lot!

I loved getting together around sunset up in the beautiful Colorado foothills.  The leaves were still pretty, Brenda picked beautiful outfits that were so rich and beautiful and I loved how cozy they all were with each other when I put the camera to my face.  I love how these images turned out!
Not only are they a stunning family, these girls can't get any sweeter.  I thoroughly enjoyed chatting and getting to know them.  It was a bit chilly that night and these girls don't have an ounce of fat on them to keep them warm.  But they were troopers and I got some great shots.  I especially love the sister pictures.  I love my sister so much and I hope that when these girls are all grown up that they will remain good friends!

Scott also had me in stitches during this session.  He had lots of good jokes up his sleeve and it made for such a fun Friday night.
Thanks guys.  I am glad that we aren't just friends of friends anymore!
