David and Cheyenne- Littleton Maternity Photographer

You have no idea how much this session meant to me.  I love making deep and lasting relationships with my clients.  So much so that they become like family to me.

I have had the privilege of photographing these two for their engagement, their wedding and now they are adding to their family.  I can't wait to walk through the next year with them as they have their baby!

These two are so adorable together.  We decided to go up into the mountains a bit so we could get more of a winter feel and it was a bit icy.  But David was right beside Cheyenne every moment and made sure that she was safe and taken care of.

Can you feel the love between them?  I love that they only have eyes for each other!  They are so easy to photograph as they are just totally in love with each other.

Full of joy.

I love this woman.  She is becoming like a little sister to me.  I love that when we met to talk about birth photography and their baby's first year Cheyenne's comment to me was "as soon as we found out we were pregnant I wanted to call you first to let you know and to make sure you were available".  That made my heart so happy!

Oh how I love belly pictures.  I represents so love and promise of joy in the future.

Needless to say, you will be seeing a lot more of these two in the next year.

They are going to make wonderful parents.  They are so caring, loving and obviously completely IN LOVE with each other.  Which is the perfect way to bring a baby into this world.

These just might be my favorite ones.

Now if that sweet baby can stay put until his due date......  I am going out of town the week before he is due and I REALLY want to be there for his debut!!

Enjoy your last few weeks as a family of two!

Emery is One! Littleton Baby Photography

I am still reeling at the fact that it is 2017.  2016 went WAY too quickly!  I am sure that this family is feeling the same thing.  The first year of your baby's life is a blur.  It flies by and they grow from being a tiny, helpless newborn to a walking, babbling, curious little cutie pie.

Look a little Miss Emery.  Isn't she just about the cutest thing you have ever seen?  I love that she got dressed up in her little Christmas outfit which can also be used for Valentine's Day!!

Those pig tails are killing me!  I have boys so I wouldn't even begin to know how to get that fine, short hair into cute little piggies.  But her mom is a genius!

She is seriously one of the easiest First Year babies I have ever worked with.  She is super easy going, happy as can be and is a real trooper.  Two of our four sessions were pretty chilly and she didn't complain a bit.

Charlie is a 4 year old lab who also happens to be Emery's best friend.  So naturally we had to get some pictures of the two of them together!  Is there anything more precious than a little kid and their dog?  Nope....I don't think so either.  Charlie was so patient with Emery and one of the most mellow labs I have ever seen.  Good dog!

Such a happy girl.  And so well loved.

I have LOVED spending the year watching Emery get more adorable with each session.  I am so sad that our year is over, but I can't wait to see you again soon!

Old Bag Luncheon- Littleton Event Photography

I know this this weekend is the Superbowl for football fans (mostly men) but last weekend was a Superbowl made for women.  It was the 9th annual Old Bag Luncheon and fundraiser for R & R retreats.  It is a time for women to get together, have lunch with friends and family and then win purses.  Yes.  You read that right.  They raffle off over 100 new and gently used purses and the women go CRAZY for it!  It is so much fun to watch and be a part of.

I have been lucky enough to be a part of this luncheon for years, but this year Diane asked if I could do pictures (as the other photographer moved away....we missed you Lynette).  I was thrilled to combine a little work and a little play!

Over 220 women attended the event this year and helped raise a huge amount of money for this wonderful ministry.  I love seeing the women with their friends!

R&R provides retreats for the women of Colorado (and around the world) and helps them to find rest and renewal both physically and spiritually.  You can find more information about their upcoming retreats on their website here.  I have been lucky enough to be on one of their retreats and it was healing for the mind and soul!

Look at all of these beautiful purses.  It is so fun to see which women go home with which purse.  They are like matches made in heaven.

As women arrive they puruse the tables and do some purse "shopping".  They find purses they love and put "girl bucks" (aka raffle tickets) in the little bags attached to the purse they can't live without.

Then the anticipation begins.  Beautiful worship begins the luncheon and then women give testimony to how R&R retreats have changed them for the better.

Then it is raffle time!  The brand new bags at the front of the ballroom are each brought forward and a "girl buck" is drawn out and then the excitement begins.
I love to see the faces of the women when the win!  They come running.
Even the little girls get in on the action and they are adorable.

It is the most exciting fundraiser I have ever been to!

Here are the proud owners of their new purses.
Thanks Melissa for stealing my camera and getting a picture of me and my new purse.
Isn't it cute??

Diane has built this ministry with a wonderful board of women supporting and surrounding her.  Look at these beautiful women of God.

These women were up until all hours of the night getting ready for the event and yet they are still are beautiful and full of joy!

Among other things....Diane has just written a devotional book.  It looks amazing and I can't wait to pick one up.  If you are interested in this daily journal/devotional you can pick it up here on Amazon.

This Purse Auction/Old Bag Luncheon is always the Sunday before the Superbowl, so if you are interested in winning a purse in 2018 put it on your calendar NOW!  You won't be disappointed.

Thank you Diane for having me and for the wonderful work you do with women in Colorado and around the world!
