Sneak Peek: Cassidy

A few weeks ago, I got a frantic phone call from a mom who had a daughter that needed senior pictures ASAP.  Her daughter was nominated as volunteer of the year last year at school and she won a complimentary sitting fee with a big name photographer for her senior pictures.  When she had the session, she felt uncomfortable with the photographer, only had 45 minutes and wasn't allowed to change into all the outfits she wanted.  She came away disappointed.  Then they got the proofs.  While they were great pictures......the photo packages STARTED at $2600.  Hey people...that is more than I charge for WEDDING photos.  So they were left with a dilemma.  And then they heard about me.  I did pictures for Cassidy's softball team mate and she passed my name on.  Thank goodness for word of mouth!  I was more than happy to try to make up for their not-so-great first experience.  People, you need to feel comfortable with your photographer!  Make sure the person behind the camera is likable.
We got together just a few days later on a beautiful summer day and took pictures for 90 minutes.  She changed outfits as many times as she wanted and other than the blistering heat....it was a blast.  I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know this amazing senior gal and her awesome mom.  I can tell that they have a great relationship and I loved watching them interact!  Big thanks to mom for all of the fluffing, hair placement, hydrating, prop arranging and shlepping.  Moms are the best!

Doesn't she have the best smile?  And the eyelashes....real.  Ahhhmazing!  Don't even get me started on her gorgeous hair.
Cassidy is a big-time softball player.  She plays year-round and is more than likely going to get a big scholarship to play in college.  She is highly sought after as she is an amazing pitcher and one of the top hitters in the state. What a combo!  I wouldn't want to stare her down while standing at the plate.

She is also a country girl.  How could you not be with a name like Cassidy Creekmore?  It just sounds like a rodeo queen, right?  She is hoping to go to college down south so she can live amongst her peeps.
Cassidy, good luck in your senior year.  I hope you have a wonderful season and that you are able to enjoy this special time in your life.

It was hard to pick my favorites from this session.  The camera loved her.  If you want to see the full gallery, click here.  Or you can visit my website or Facebook page.  Thanks!

If you know of anyone else who needs last minute pictures, pass my name along.  I have spots open!  Also, don't forget that my prices are going up starting September 1st.  So book your date for the fall now to receive the old pricing!

Sneak Peek: St. Romain Family

There is nothing like watching and documenting a family grow and change.  It is a great privilege that I do not take for granted.  Kids grow up so quickly that it is nice to have families that realize that and want to document it.  I first met Cole when he was a few days old.  He and his big brother are growing like weeds and have the cutest blue eyes and blond hair you have ever seen!  They are one of the handsomest families I have seen in a long time.

Can you even believe this Gerber Baby?  The hair.  Adorable.

 Say Whaaa?
And big brother Dillion.....cute, sweet, smart....a triple threat.

There is just something special about brothers.  They are so lucky to have each other.
Josh and Laura, you make cute kids!!!

Thanks for letting me be a part of documenting your life!

Act now!!!  Prices will be going up if you book after September 1st, 2014.

Sneak Peek: Newmillers

Happy Sunday!  I am spending my Sunday getting caught up on some editing.  I can't help but smile as I go through images and see smiling faces smiling back at me.  It makes editing a little less tedious!

Earlier this year I donated a session for an auction/fundraiser for a little boy at the elementary school who is struggling with brain cancer.  It was a no-brainer (sorry- no pun intended) for me.  I wanted to do something and I was glad to be able to help raise money for the family pay off some medical bills.  It is even more impactful as this little boy is in Jameson's kindergarten class this year.

Wouldn't you know that our friends/neighbors bid on the session and won!  I love photographing family and friends.  It makes my job easier and more fun.  I know just what to say to get smiles out of them.  It was so nice to meet up with them on a Friday afternoon and spend some time hanging out and taking pictures.  We missed Brandon (as he had to work), but Vicky and the kids still made for wonderful subjects.

Enjoy this fantastic family!

It seems like the kids are growing right before my eyes.  I remember Gage as a tiny little guy.  Now he is a growing boy!

And Avery....she is one of the best big sisters I have ever seen.  She loves on this little guy even when he is being difficult (as all little boys can be).

And then there are the brother/sister pictures that just melt your heart.

For more pictures, visit my website or my Facebook page.  Also, if you are interested in booking a session this fall my prices are going up starting September 1st.  So book before then to get the old pricing!  Tell your friends!

Sneak Peek: Sawyer 8 months

Oh my!  This little guy wins the award for best facial expressions.  This session is so full of color and his hat is to die for.  I have loved watching this little guy grow and his chubby little rolls get bigger.  Nothin' better than a chunky little baby.  I also love that this little guy doesn't shy away from me and let me lug him all over during our session.  So much fun!

His big brother also followed me around and he is a great conversationalist.  We even managed to sneak in a few pictures of him.  Hi Dawson!
This little squishy baby is so cute.  And the drool....forgetaboutit!  I am so happy that I get to see him every few months.  He is going to be one before I blink again.  And I really hope that he has cupcake smeared all over him for our next session.

On a side note...if you need to buy a baby gift for someone, you should get them this squeeky giraffe.  He is the 3rd baby I have photographed to have this toy and LOVE it.

The hat.  So adorable.  But bald is beautiful too.

I had to get one of the chubby little legs and feet.
