Kathleen and Matt- Wellshire Event Center Wedding

These two......

It was pure joy to be a part of their fabulous wedding day.  You better hunker down because this is a long one.  #sorrynotsorry

They spent over a year carefully planning their special day and it came off without a hitch!  Even with planning much of it while they were both in school in Nebraska to become pharmacists.

Every detail we seen to and everyone I met was smiling and happy to be a part of this special day.

I always like spending the beginning of the day with the bride and her bridesmaids as they get ready.  Look at all of these beautiful women!

 And men too of course.

And who can resist jumping on the bed on their wedding day with their best friend??

Kathleen obviously has a special relationship with her mom and dad.  They were so happy and calm the entire day and really seemed to just soak in every moment.  It was so refreshing!

Finally it was time for the first look.  One of my favorite times of the day.  It always relieves the nerves and gives the bride and groom a few minutes to soak in the day and spend time along together.  It is one of the only times all day that this happens!

Kathleen and Matt got each other the sweetest gifts.  Look at their reactions!  So fun to be a part of it.

Once the first look was over, it was portrait time.

Kathleen, you are stunning!!

We snuck (spell check says that isn't a word, but I beg to differ) away from the church and went to the nearby Highline Canal and took some time to relax and get some photos done.  It was SUPER hot but these two ROCKED it!  Thankfully my second shooter took good care of everyone and made sure we all had water and she made sure she kept the car cool and ready to go.  It helped so much!

Don't they just ooze happiness?

And joy??  Love it!

This wedding party rocked!  We didn't have much time for bridal party pictures and it was SO hot outside but everyone cooperated so well and we had these photos done in about 15 minutes.  It was a record!

The moments before the ceremony are always a blur and often filled with nerves.  But I love capturing these precious moments before all of the fanfare.

I always enjoy getting to know the families of the bride and groom.  And these families are amazing!  They are so lucky to be bound together now!  I love how the moms seemed to not only like each other, but love on each other!

Matt watching his bride coming towards him.

If you are looking for a church in the Denver area to host your wedding, Bethany Lutheran Church is wonderful.  They were great to work with and their facility is so pretty!

I do!  You may now kiss your bride.  I always get a little sentimental at this part.  Something about the excitement of two people becoming one family and the joy that brings to everyone there!

After the ceremony, the bridal party got on a party bus to have some quality time together and everyone else headed to the Wellshire Event Center.

Once they got back it was time for a few more photos and then it was PARTY time!

The Wellshire Event Center is beautiful!!!  I couldn't resist taking photos in front of this door.  It was a little tricky as it kept opening!!

After dinner we headed out for a few minutes to get a few sunset pictures.  The sun did not disappoint.  I guess 90+ degrees is better than rain and clouds, right!?

Receptions are always so full of love and laughter!

And then during this part of the reception....I get misty-eyed again.

My favorite part of the reception was after all of the dances.  Matt surprised EVERYONE (including me) with a choreographed dance with his groomsmen.  Matt claims he can't dance.....but I beg to differ!  It was so amazing.  Way to go guys!

I told you these two were fun.

What an awesome group!  Get your hands up!

A little brotherly serenade.

Thanks for allowing me to spend the day with you.  I am so happy for your guys and your bright future!  Congratulations Dr. and Dr. McDermott!
