Noah- 3 months

One of my favorite families up the blog again.  I can't believe that it has been 3 months since I captured the first few moments of this little guy's life.
A lot has happened in the last 3 months.  Especially in the life of this family.  They have kind of had a rough year with plenty of heartache and loss.  Thank goodness for Noah and his happy and joyful entrance into the world.
Becky's mom lost her battle with cancer just a few days before we were supposed to have our session.  So we had to postpone for a week.  But I love that even though it was a tough week and a monumental life change, this woman just has an inner glow and peace about her and it is so obvious that she was meant to be a mother.
3 months is probably one of my favorites of the baby stage.  They start to babble and smile, laugh and sleep through the night.  It is the age where the baby figures it out and the parents get into a groove.  It is so fun to see the wonder and joy in their eyes.  Speaking of eyes.... I can't believe how blue Noah's eyes are.  His big brother has the biggest brown eyes so the blue is a real contrast.  I love it!  Noah is a happy, easy-going baby and I loved that they wanted some Christmasy pictures.
Here are the Santa Babies....

And the Christmas card photos.  How awesome is this plaid quilt I found?
I also love that I have seen and documented (and loved on) this boy every six months or so for the last 2 1/2 years.  I love that when we were taking pictures he said to his mom "Miss Lisa is going to give me a lollipop if I listen really good".  It just melted my heart.  He knows me so well.  And guess what......he was such a good boy and listened so well that I gave him a lollipop.  This kid is seriously amazing.  He is one of the best behaved 2 year olds I have ever met.
As always, the candid photos are always my favorites.

I can't wait for our next session.  I am sure that Noah will have changed and grown so much the next time I see him.

The Laverty Family

It is funny how different stages of life seem to come around again!  I went to high school with this sweet lady.  And now.....a few years later.....our paths crossed again.  Tiffany found me through friends of friends and as soon as she saw my picture she realized that we went to good ol' Bear Creek together.
She has the sweetest kiddos.  I loved chatting with them and was pleased to hear that they go to preschool where my kids went to preschool.  It is the best preschool and I love that I had even more in common with them.

Little Dillon is in Kindergarten and reminded me so much of my little Kindergartner.  They are at such a fun age of learning and discovery.  He looks so much like his dad, don't you think?
Shawn is the happy-go-lucky middle child.  A total sweetheart that captured my heart.
Ellie just turned one and is an easy-going little gal who LOVES her brothers and tolerates them "loving" on her without batting an eye.  She is going to be a tough little princess!
Thanks for bringing the balloon!  I love the way these turned out.  It was fun to get a quick little mini-birthday session in during our family session.
These two love birds were also fun to work with.
This family braved a chilly morning and did it with style!  I was freezing by the end and I am sure the kids were too.  I think they might have even earned hot chocolate for their good behavior.  These three were amazing troopers!  Way to go team Laverty!

Baby Charlie- Denver Newborn Photography

Who has the best job ever?  ME!  I got to snuggle 2 freshly baked baby boys in 2 days.  Kamden was so sweet and compliant that I thought for sure I was doomed for a fussy baby the next day.   But baby Charlie was even more unbelievable!  He didn't even wake up when we changed his clothes and diaper.  He let us use all sorts of props and positions.  It was the easiest newborn session I have ever done!  Thanks Charlie.
I love that this blanket was made by Tim's grandmother.  She is over 90 and wanted to make something for her great-grandbaby.  How awesome is that?  Of course we had to use it during our session.
Wait until you get a load of this gorgeous mama.  Oh. My. Word.  She is so beautiful and comfortable in her role as a mom (you would be too if it was your 4th baby boy).  These pictures make my heart leap with joy.

Dad is no slouch either and I loved that he wanted to have pictures of his son in his SWAT helmet.  He is a Jeffco Sheriff and a part of the Jeffco SWAT team as well.  Charlie slept like a baby in that helmet.   It must be pretty comfortable Tim!  After we were done with the shots I took the helmet from Tim and couldn't believe how heavy it was with a baby inside of it!  He held that helmet like a pro for over 10 minutes and didn't even bat an eye.  I could hardly hold it for a minute!!!  Apparently if you are on the SWAT team you are pretty buff!
My favorite part of the session was once we were done with the formal shots and we went up to their bedroom and just did some lifestyle pictures.  I just stood back and captured them as a little family.
Oh how I love babies.  They bring such joy and hope for the future.  Reminds me of another baby who was born about 2000 years ago.  I hope this time of year bring joy and hope to all of you.
