The Gale Family- Ken Caryl Valley Family Pictures

I have known this beautiful Mama for a long time!  Our boys were in preschool together and we worked together at the big preschool clothing sale and got to know each other.  My sister was lucky enough to have this little guy in her classroom last year so this family is intertwined with my family.  It makes for such a fun session when we have history together.  It doesn't even feel like work, but more like a good excuse to get together and catch up.

The best part about this session.....it was literally in their backyard.  They walked out their back gate and we met at the park right there.  How handy is that??

They are so lucky to live in the amazingly beautiful Ken Caryl Valley.

As we were taking these pictures we ran into several of their friends as they were walking their dogs or running on the trails.  It was so cool to see the neighborhood camaraderie.   (By the way....Elise...I have boot envy).

Isn't this little guy SO handsome??  His brown eyes are such a beautiful chocolate brown color.  Don't tell him I said that.  Boys don't like to hear those kinds of things.  Not only is he handsome, but he is a sweet boy.  I love that he and my Jameson were friends.  I wish they were still in the same school! 

And this little beauty.  Oh my goodness.  She is to die for!!!  And check out the hood on her outfit.  I had to include that in the pictures because it is just about the cutest thing I have ever seen.

These might be some of my most favorite mom/child shots of the whole year.  Probably because Elise is so beautiful and her love for her children is SO evident.

Matt is no slouch either.  I especially love the father/son pictures.  I left out the dabbing ones, but you can picture that, right?

It was so good to catch up with you Gale family!!!  I am so happy we got to spend an evening together and I wish we would have had even more time together.  And Elise, we should get the boys together for a playdate!

The Giri Family- Littleton Family Photography

I was so happy to meet up with this family again for the 4th year in a row!

This year I got to meet the newest member of the family, Lexi.

I am always a little bit nervous when people say they want to bring their puppy to a session.  Usually puppies are wild, crazy and make everything a little more difficult (especially if you are dealing with little kids and puppies). 

However, Lexi was a perfect angel and we got so many great pictures with her!  I swear that she was smiling for the camera.

Don't you think??

I am not much of a dog person (don't judge) as I have always been allergic to most dogs and they kind of make me miserable, but Lexi made me really want to get one!  And she is hypo-allergenic.

Okay enough about the cute and cuddly dog.  Let's talk about these girls. 

They are just about as sweet as can be.  I love their big brown eyes.  I think I could just take a swim in those molten pools of chocolate brown.

And these two are so cute together!  

Ken Caryl Valley is so beautiful and the lighting was perfect.  Good thing because we had to cancel once because of the rain and once because it was REALLY windy.  

But the third time really was the charm!

It was so good to see you guys!  I loved meeting Lexi and I can't wait for our session next year!

The Ammon Family- Ken Caryl Family Photography

Oh my goodness.  It was REALLY hard to narrow down the pictures for this blog post.

 Do you see why??

Beautiful people make for beautiful pictures and this family is BEAUTIFUL.  However, the light was also perfect and the location can't be beat. 

They live up in Ken Caryl valley and wanted pictures in the neighbor that they live in and love.  So I was happy to get up in the valley and take a walk-about through this gorgeous area.  On my way out of the park I drove right by a deer staring me down from the sidewalk.  Such a beautiful setting that is still a bit "wild".

It is really fun to have an only child session!  Especially when that only child is older.  We are able to do so many poses and different areas and I feel like I was able to capture the true love of their family.  We even had some fun together!

We were even able to get some pictures of the family dog, Scout.

Little Aevry charmed me through and through and by the end we were fast friends.

He became my little buddy and has a future in photography.  I always let kids sit on my lap and take pictures.  It helps them to trust me and what kid doesn't love to push buttons?  Usually the pictures are blurry and mostly end up being pictures of the sky or trees, but Aevry actually took some really great pictures....like this one!

I happened to see Aevry the next morning at church at he came right up to me and started chatting it up.  I LOVED it!

The whole time I was editing these pictures I had a smile on my face and you can tell that these three are like the Three Amigos......full of love and laughter.

I simply loved hanging out with this family and I hope to work with them again in the future.
