Aria Is One- Denver Baby Photographer

My baby's first year one year old sessions always make me a little sad.

It means that I don't get to see these sweet families every 4 months anymore.  After seeing each other 3-4 times in one year, we get to know each other pretty well and I love it.

Take this sweet family for example!  Aren't they just the best?

They wanted to meet up at DU and that was just fine with me.  There are so many cool brick buildings and stairs to choose from.

I didn't get to do newborn photos with Aria so we first met when she was 4 months old.  So we had to make up for lost time!!  Check out the love that oozes from them.

She has always been a little bit shy around me, but that doesn't mean she isn't still adorable!

O-N-E

Look at all of her teeth!

She loved seeing herself in this window and made some of the funniest expressions.

Aria isn't quite walking yet but she sure is crawling up a storm.

One year sessions might make me sad because it is the end of a phase with a family...but they make me really happy because there is CAKE!

Aria didn't disappoint when it came to the cake.  She dug right in!!  This is the before and after shot.

No crumb was left behind.

Happy Birthday Aria!  I can't wait to see you next year for your 2nd birthday!

The Anderson Family- Highlands Ranch Family Photographer

It is amazing how quickly kids grow!  We couldn't make our schedules mesh last year and therefore we didn't get a session on the calendar.  So I am super thankful that this year we started earlier and we were able to get a date on the calendar.

Not only were we able to schedule a regular session, but they brought along some extra family members.

It was a great treat to meet JP's sister and mom and dad.

I love the way they still look at each other.

It is obvious that these kids love their Aunt Kiki and that the feeling is mutual.

And this beautiful and fabulous woman had the most beautiful purse....I had purse envy.  However, I found that amazing purse 50% off while I was in New York earlier this month and now I have a beautiful purse too.  I couldn't resist!!  Thanks for the inspiration Kristen.

Can we just talk for a minute about this kid?  I think I see modeling in his future.  Are you kidding me???

I think he comes by it honestly.  Check out these three generations.

Not to be outdone by all of the beautiful ladies in this family.

Audrey has grown up so much and has the sweetest little smile and personality.  Her eyes have the most beautiful sparkle.

I seriously love this family.  Ashley is amazing and makes you feel 100% comfortable and instantly like you are old friends with her.  Also mad props as she is an ER doc and worked the night before the photos and was operating on only 3 hours of sleep.  How do you do that Ashley???

Woot woot.  Look at these two.....heating up the camera!!!

Littleton Historical Museum is one of my favorite places to shoot.  So many great backdrops and it is never very crowded.  And the kids love to see all of the animals.  It is a treasure!

This little family is so much fun to hang out with.  The sibling pictures are always some of my favorite!

I am so glad we were able to make it work this year!!  I missed you guys last year and I hope that I don't have to wait 2 years again before I see you again Andersons!

The Kolbo Family- Roxborough State Park Photography

I had never met this cute little family before, but we have a lot of mutual friends so when we met it felt like we already knew each other!

They live up in Roxborough so they wanted to have their pictures done at Roxborough State Park which is practically in their backyard.

I have never shot up at Roxborough State Park and I was excited to try out a new location.  And it did not disappoint!

Those red rocks are stunning and they make for such a great background.

I got there a bit early and hiked all around trying to find the best spots for pictures.  Unfortunately, I made a VERY poor choice in footwear and after walking (read: hiking) all over the park(twice) I had quite a blister on my foot!!  If you follow me on Instagram you may have seen my story about it.  If you don't follow me on Instagram, you should!  I can be a bit silly and you get to see a less polished (real) look at my life.  Click here to follow me!

Patti is a dance teacher.  So we got some headshots and I had to get some pictures of her favorite dance student as well!  Isn't she beautiful??? And we can't leave out the boys....what a good looking crew!

These kids were a blast.  We had some good laughs and they were great about having their picture taken.

I was a little sad when the session ended because it was one of my favorites from this year.  Easy, relaxed and fun!

And we ended up with so many great pictures!

Kolbo family, I am so glad that we have mutual friends and that we were able to get to know each other and hang out for the afternoon.  The blister was totally worth it!
