Rebecca and Shawn- Littleton Engagement Photos

From the moment I met this couple, we just clicked.  We had such a great time getting to know each other over some Starbucks and it just felt right!  I am so thankful that I get to be their wedding photographer when they get married next July.

It all started with this absolutely STUNNING heirloom ring that was Rebecca's great aunt's and is over 100 years old!

The only thing more beautiful than that ring is the love these two share.

They are so full of life, love and laughter.

We had a such a fun afternoon together!

How beautiful is Rebecca???  Stunning, right?

At the end we even let the dogs come out and play!

You should have seen the out-takes from these pictures!  Trying to get 3 dogs to look at the camera and cooperate isn't an easy task.  I think we deserved more treats than the dogs!

Rebecca and Shawn....congratulations on your engagement!

I can't wait for your wedding!

The Florea Family- Denver Family Photographer

I can't believe that it has been 3 years since I first connected with this family.  Look at sweet little Jaylene at our first session when she was just 6 months old.

Now she is 3 and is just as cute as ever!

This family captured my heart from the beginning but now, 3 years later, I am head over heals for them.  I always look forward to our sessions!

I am not sure what it is about them but I think Jennifer and I are kindred spirits.  And Jaylene is one of my favorites too.  I can't leave Josh and his easy going nature, cowboy hat and big ol' trucks out.  He is always so easy to work with and just happy to be with his girls.

Miss Jaylene was so happy to see me and wanted to walk with me, talk with me......and at the end of the session she REALLY wanted me to come and have dinner with them.  How cute is that??  Too bad I already had plans or I would have joined them for dinner.  Jennifer texted me later that Jaylene kept asking if Ms. Lisa was coming to dinner.  Sigh.  I love that girl to pieces.

Jennifer has the BEST taste in kids clothes.  She picks out the cutest outfits, hats and accessories!

She also trusts me completely so when I make suggestions about timing and location, she follows my advise and we always end up with the BEST lighting.

I mean...seriously.

I love the laughter, smiles and pure joy that emanate from this child!  You can tell that she is well loved and therefore she loves well in return!

I wish these three lived in my neighborhood so we could hang out all the time and not just once a year!!  You guys want to move to Littleton, right?!

The only sad thing about this post is that it will be another year before I get to see them again.

I love you Floreas.  Next year, let's do dinner afterwards.  I would hate to dissapoint Jaylene again.

The Unekis Family- Littleton Family Photographer

Going out of town right at the tail end of my busy season really did a number on me!  It put me WAY behind on blogging.  But the good news is that I am back on track and ready to share some amazing family pictures with everyone!

I loved meeting this family.  This year has been a bit different for me as I have spent more time with families with older kids.  And I loved it.  Not that I don't love the little ones.  But there is something about the bigger kids that is a little more relaxing.  I have to work a little harder to get genuine smiles, but I don't have to chase them all over!

Kristin is good friends with Chris who just happens to be one of my all-time favorite Kindergarten teachers!!  They have worked together in the past and have stayed friends all these years.  So Chris told Kristin about me and the rest is history.  And I am SUPER thankful.  How could I not be with beautiful ladies like this?

It was  a little bit windy and chilly on the day of our session, but that didn't stop us from having a great time.  And the wind always looks nice when it catches your hair!!  So we had that going for us.

I love that they brought their sweet Lilly to join in on the pictures.  She is such a good dog and we got quite a few pictures with her in them.

Look at these good looking kids!  They weren't into doing pictures at the beginning (as par for the course with most older kids) but I won them over and by the end they were suggesting cool locations and they were totally into it!  It made for a fun session!

Congratulations to Brian and Kristin on their 20th anniversary!  That is a huge accomplishment and deserves to be celebrated!!

This family is just a few years ahead of my own kids and it gave me hope and let me see how much fun it is to have older kids.

It was lovely to meet you Unekis family.  I can't wait for next summer for Emma's senior pictures!

The Church Family- Littleton Family Photographer

This is going to be a long one.  #sorrynotsorry

I am so thankful that 9 years ago, their middle son Landon and my oldest son were in the same kindergarten class.  A friendship was born that I will forever treasure.  And the fact that they are the Churches and we are the Lords......it was meant to be.  Church....Lord.....get it??

Our boys have remained friends over the last 9 years despite being in different classes at school (except for one year) and now they are even at different schools.  However, we live very close and they ride their bikes back and forth.  Landon (and the entire Church family) is one of those kids that you FOR sure want your kid to be friends with.  Always so polite, kind, funny, easy going, just all around a great kid.  So whenever my son says "Can Landon and I......" he usually doesn't even have to finish the sentence before I say YES!

This family has wormed its way into our hearts.  We have gone to the cabin together. Climbed 14ners together.  Spent Sunday nights at the pool in the summer together.  Played cards together.  They are just about the best people you know.  Always quick to help, lend a kind word and it is a pleasure to be in their company.

Maddie is the oldest Church kid.  She just started her freshman year at CCU.  She is a budding photographer (among other wonderful talents) and has assisted me several times and it has been so much fun to get to know her.  And she was a champ because it was freezing outside!

Dayton is the quiet one.  But he is a SERIOUSLY talented drummer and always has a shy smile ready!

You already know how much I love Landon.  Seriously....I want to adopt this kid.

Morgan is the spunky one.  I love to hear all of the funny stories her mom has about the funny things this girl does and says.  Recently this poor thing fell at her birthday party and broke her wrist and got a concussion.  Not a great way to end a party!  But she has an infectious smile and a little mischievous twinkle in her eye!

Best story of the day..... Vicki was running late so she gave Paul a crash course in curling hair and he curled Morgan's hair for the pictures.  Didn't he do a great job?!  Magnificent, especially for your first time Paul!

These two have a marriage that is to be envied.  I love to watch them together.  They have had a rough few weeks with just about everything you can imagine going on in their life, yet they greet each day with smile and faith that can move mountains.

This beautiful woman is one of my best friends.  It is hard to make close friends later in life and I am so thankful for her and her friendship.  She is such an encouragement to me and I am always looking to her for advise because she is just about the best mom, Christian and wife that I have ever met.  I want to be just like her.

And Paul.  Well...what can I say.   He always make me laugh!

Do you really want to know how amazing they are??  They got up super early on a Saturday morning and got all dressed up and met me at 7:30 so we could do sunrise pictures.  Not only that....it was so cold and windy.  But you would never be able to tell because they handled it like champions.

I just can't say enough wonderful things about this wonderful family.  To know them is to love them.

Here's to many more years of the Lords and Churches together!
I love you guys to the depths of my soul.
